a.)  Alluvial soil: A fine-grained fertile soil deposited by water flowing over flood plains or in river beds alluvial deposit , alluvial sediment , alluvium , alluvion - clay or silt or gravel carried by rushing streams and deposited where the stream slows down.

b.)  Black soil may refer to: Chernozem, fertile black soils found in eastern Europe, Russia, India and the Canadian prairies Muck (soil), a soil made up primarily of humus from drained swampland Vertisol, dark cracking soils with a high clay content found between 50° N and 45° S of the equator Terra preta.

c.) Glacio-lacustrine sediments are deposited by glacial meltwater in lakes. These lakes include ice margin lakes or other types formed from glacial erosion or deposition. Sediments in the bedload and suspended load of meltwater streams are carried into lakes and deposited.

 

Consistency OF SOIL: Consistency Limits may be defined as ” The moisture contents of a soil at the points where it passes from one stage to the next are called consistency limits or Atterberg limits.” Atterberg found that the consistency of fine-grained soils greatly influenced by the amount of water content present in these soils.
