Step-by-step explanation:

by using Pythagoras theorem,

the breadth^2=diagonal^2-length^2

= 37^2-35^2

=1368-1225

=144

breadth= 12

area of rectangle =l*b

=35*12

=420cm^2

Given :-

➠Length of rectangle = 35 cm

➠diagonal of rectangle = 37 cm

Find :-

➠Area of rectangle

Solution :-

First we need to find breadth of rectangle

so , lets breadth be B.

Here, length ( L ) = 35 cm

and diagonal ( D ) = 37 cm

Using Pythagoras theorem

{ D }² = ( B )² + ( L

( B ) ² = ( 37 cm ) ² - ( 35 cm ) ²

( B ) ² = 1369cm²- 1255cm²

( B )² = 144cm

B = √144

B = 12 cm

Hence, the breadth of rectangle is 12 cm.

Now,

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 35 cm × 12 cm

➠ = 420 cm ²

Therefore, The Area of rectangle is 420 cm ².
