Minerals are not renewable. Once consumed, they won't revive back for. The consumption of energy and water is very very high which raises burden on other non-renewable resources - primarily fuel. Air pollution generated by mining is terrible which causes irreparable damage to environment.

minerals need to be conserved for sustainable development because minerals forms the main pillars of an economy. every sectors of an economy require minerals to be develop.minerals are not evenly distributed. they are limited in certain regions of the world as well as in India so they need to be conserved.fast moving technology continuous mining wasteful use of minerals lead to the exhaustion of some non renewable minerals
