If any line has equation ax+by+c then all the points on the line should satisfy the

equation ax+by+c=0

At the origin the co-ordinates are (x,y)=(0,0)

So substitute x=0 and y=0 in the equation and equating it to zero, we get a*(0)+b*(0)+c=0 (as line passes through origin it must satisfy the equation)

Thus, c=0
