Answer:

(a) No induced current will be produced in the loop since the constant current is flowing in the straight wire produce a constant magnetic field . hence no induced current will be produced in the loop

(b) since current in straight wire changing, then the magnitude of loop will be also change and hence the induced current is produced in it

by applying the Fleming right hand rule the current flowing in the loop will be in clockwise direction..

9.(ii)

(a) When South pole is pushed into the coil, a momentary deflection is observed in the galvanometer. This deflection indicates that it momentary current is produced in the coil. The direction of current in the coil is Clockwise.

(b) When the magnet is held at rest, there is no deflection in the galvanometer. It indicates that no current is produced in the coil in this case.
