Statement of Dobereiner's Law :

The sum of the atomic masses of the first and third element, when divided by 2, is equal to or near to the atomic mass of the second element in a triad.

In the given triad,

First element => Cl (Chlorine)

atomic mass = 35.5

Second Element => Br (Bromine)

atomic mass = 79.9

Third Element => I (Iodine)

atomic mass = 126.9

Verification:

=> 79.9 = 35.5 + 126.9/2

=> 79.9 = 162.4/2

=> 79.9 ≠ 81.2

As we can see that the result is very close to the original mass. As, Stated by Dobereiner's law.

Hence, Verified.
