Given :-

RICE is a Rhombus

Required to find :-

  • Values of x , y & z ?

Solution :-

Given information :-

RICE is a rhombus

we need to find the values of x , y & z

we know that ;

In a rhombus , the diagonals will bisect each othe perpendicularly

So,

In the above given rhombus the diagonals are bisecting each other perpendicularly at O .

From the above statment we can conclude that ;

The diagonals will divide each other into 2 equal halves and also at right angles

Here,

  • RO = CO

  • EO = IO

[ Reason : From the above property of the rhombus ]

Now,

Let's find the value of x

Since, EO = IO

  • The measurement of x is 5

Similarly,

Let's find the value of y

Since, RO = CO

  • The measurement of y is 12

And atlast we need to find the value of z .

However,

In a rhombus all sides are equal

So,

ER = RI = IC = CE

Hence,

  • The measurement of z is 13

Therefore ,

Values of x , y & z are 5 , 12 , 13

Conclusion :-

0ption - B is correct

Additional Information :-

1. Perimeter of a rhombus = Sum of all it's side

2. Area of the rhombus = ½ x d1 x d2

( Here , d1 refers to the measurement diagonal 1 and d2 refers to the measurement of diagonal 2 )

3. Most of the properties of Rhombus are same with the properties of square .

4. If adjacent sides are equal then the resulted 2d geometrical figure is Kite .
