so, we can write it as,

3/8+x=11/24

x=11/24 - 3/8. (By taking lcm we get 24)

x=11-9/24

×=2/24=1/12

ii) let other number be x

13/24+x= -7/12

x= -7/12 - 13/24. (By taking lcm we get 12)

×= -14-13/24

x= -27/24

iii) let other number be x

x+(-13/12)= -4

x= -4+13/12

x= -48+13/12

x= -35/12
