Fractions are numerical quantities that are not whole numbers !!

In order to simplify fractions we have to find their Lowest Common Multiple or L.C.M [of denominators]

  • The L.C.M of the denominators 3 , 6 , 9 is 18
  • Now , let's simplify the fractions :

  \sf  \implies\frac{2}{3}  +  \frac{5}{6}  -  \frac{1}{9}

 \sf \implies \frac{(6 \times 2) + (3 \times 5) - (2 \times 1)}{18}

 \sf \implies \frac{12 + 15 - 2}{18}

\sf {\boxed{ \frac{25}{18}}}

Thereby , on simplifying the answer is 25 / 18 !!
