Heya !!

Here is the answer !!

IUPAC names of the given compounds :

i) Propan-2-ol (or) 2-Propanol

➡ It is a three carbon compound hence the root word "prop" and all are single bonds hence the primary suffix -ane .and it has functional group alcohol (-OH) attached to it's 2nd carbon, hence the secondary suffix -ol

Therefore, the IUPAC name of given compound is :Propan-2-ol or 2-Propanol

ii) Methyl ethanoate

The functional group is ester(R-COO-R)

The main chain has two carbon hence , hence the root word "eth" , all the single bonds (other than in functional group) hence, the primary suffix "ane" and it has functional group ester, hence the secondary suffix -oate ... since the first methyl group is to be considered as side chain and to be written as" methyl"

Therefore, the IUPAC name of the given Compound is methyl ethanoate

Hope this helps you :)
