Given that:

R1 > R2 > R3

If Re > R3, then that means that the resistors are connected in parallel combination.

And that's why, the Re will be lesser than R1, R2 and R3.

Take an example for this:

R1 = 6 , R2 = 3 , R3 = 2

Re = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

Re = 1/6 + 1/3 + 1/2

=> Re = 1 (in parallel)

As Re is less than all the resistors, we proved it.

As the V remains constant for all the resistors in a parallel combination, and we're given that R1 > R2 > R3

I1 = V/R1

I2 = V/R2

I3 = V/R3

And we know that if R1 > R2 > R3, then 1/R3 > 1/R2 > 1/R1

Example that: 6 > 3 > 2 , but 1/6 < 1/3 < 1/2

Thus, we can say that:

I1 < I2 < I3

(a) Parallel combination

(b) Re = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

(c) I1 < I2 < I3
