Let the no of 50 rs note be x and no of 100 rs note be y.
Then acc to ques,
50x+100y=2000
x+2y=40 ⇒ x=40-2y --------------1
Also,
x+y=25 --------------2
From 1 and 2,
x+y=25
40-2y+y=25
y=15
Then x=40-2(15)
x=10
∴ The no of 50 Rs note = 10 notes
and the no of 100 Rs note = 15 notes
