Given :

Ratio of boys to girl = 5 : 3

No. of students in the class = 32

To Find :

How many more boys than girl are present in the class.

Solution :

Ratio of no. of boys to girl = 5 : 3

Total number of students in the class = 32

∴ Number of boys in the class = \frac{5}{8} ×32

                                                  =  20

∴ Number of girl in the class = \frac{3}{8} ×32

                                                 = 12

∴ Number of extra boys in the class = (20 - 12)

                                                             = 8

Therefore, 8 more boys than girl are present in the class.
