GiveN :-

  • In ∆ABC , ∠ A is obtuse angle .
  • PB \perp AB .
  • QC \perp BQ .

To ProvE :-

  • AB/AP = AC/AQ .

ProoF :-

We will use similarity of triangles to Prove the above . So ,

In APB and AQC ,

  • ∠APB = ∠AQC = 90° [ given ]
  • ∠PAB = ∠QAC [ vertically opposite angles]

Hence by AA similarity Condition , ∆ APB ~ ∆AQC . So , we can say that ,

\large\red{\sf \implies \dfrac{AB}{AP}=\dfrac{AC}{AQ}}

[ Since corresponding parts of similar triangle are proportional. ]

\Large{\boxed{\pink{\sf Hence\:\:Proved\:\:!}}}
