Mass % of Copper sulphate in the solution = (Mass of copper sulphate dissolved in the solution)/(Total mass of the solution) × 100
Given that Mass of Copper Sulphate = 10 grams
and the Total mass of the solution = Mass of Copper Sulphate + Mass of the solution
⇒ Total mass of the solution = 10 grams + 390 grams = 400 grams
Mass % of Copper sulphate in the solution =(10 grams)/(400 grams) × 100
⇒ (10/400) × 100 = 2.5%
So the Mass % of Copper sulphate in solution of 390 grams of water = 2.5%
