Answer :

  • Insects - Pitcher plant

Pitcher plant is a type of carnivorous plant i.e the plant which grows in nutrition deficient soil and doesn't get complete nutritions by autotrophic mode and thus depending on Insects for thier food. As it depends on insects for the nutrition ; it is the correct pair.

  • Animals - Heterotrophs

Animals are not capable of making their own food which is possible in plants. The organisms that can produce their own food are known as autotrophes. Animals aren't applicable for this group . There is a separate group for organisms depending on autotrophes. They are called heterotrophs. As animals belong to this group they are called heterotrophs and thus this is a correct pair.

  • Cuscuta - Parasite

Cuscuta is a plant genus that absorbs food material that is nutrients from the host . The organisms that obtain food from the body of host are known as parasites. Thus Cuscuta is a Parasite. Hence , it is a correct pair.

  • Nitrogen - Rhizobium

Nitrogen is used by plants for their photosynthesis. Photosynthesis needs Chlorophyll , Sunlight , Carbon dioxide and water. Nitrogen is an important component of Chlorophyll. Nitrogen is found in unusable forms in our atmosphere. An organism called Rhizobium which lives in symbiosis with the plant converts unusable forms of nitrogen to usable forms. As they are linked , it's a correct pair.

  • Chlorophyll - Leaf

Pitcher plants is an insectivorous plants as it feeds on insect to fulfill the nitrogen ( insect eating plants are : pitcher plants , venus flytrap , etc,.

2.)  Animals - Heterotrophs

Animals are known as heterotrophs because it cannot prepare thier own feed and are dependent on directly / indirectly on plants to survive. hence , we can say that animals are Heterotrophs.

3.) Cascuta - Parasite

Cascuta comes in the categories of parasitic plants as they depent on the host to survive and sucks all the nutrition of the host on which it feed.

4.) Nitrogen - Rhizobium

Rhizobium is a bacterium that lives in the root nodules of Leguminous plants and it helps the nitrogen to fix in the soil.

5.) Chlorophyll - Leaf

Chlorophyll is a green pigment present in the leaf, which gives the green colour to the leaf.
