≥ Given ≥

⇒ Cat + cat + cat = 12kg

⇒ Duck + cat = 5kg

⇒ sheep + duck = 99kg.

Solutions

To find out what Sheep + cat + duck equal we have to find out how much each animal weighs.

We know that 3 cats equal 12 kg. To find out how much one kat weighs you have to divide by 3.

12
÷ 3 = 4

One cat weighs 4 kg.

Since one cat weighs 4 kg we can figure out how much a duck weighs. Duck + cat = 5kg. If cat is 4 kg, 5 - 4 = 1 kg.

One duck weighs 1 kg.

If a duck weighs 1 kg. Sheep + duck = 99 kg. To find how much sheep weighs you need to subtract.

99 - 1 = 98

One sheep weighs 98 kg.

Now we know

One cat weighs 4 kg.

One duck weighs 1 kg.

One sheep weighs 98 kg.

We can solve the problem now.

98 kg + 1 kg + 4 kg = 103

 Sheep + cat + duck = 103 kg.
