Let alpha = a and beta = b

Now , 1/a+1/b:-

1/a+1/b
=a+b/ab (Taking LCM)............ equation 1

Now the polynomial=5y^2-7y+1

So , a+b = - coefficient of y/ coefficient of y^2
=-(-7)/5
=7/5

Now , ab= constant term / coefficient of y^2
=1/5

Now substituting ab and a+b in equation 1 :-

a+b/ab
=(7/5)/(1/5)
=7

Answer :- Here 1/a+1/b=7
