given:- current in secondary coil = I2 = 2.5 A
, Resistance in secondary coil = R = 8 ohm
=> potential difference across secondary coil = V2 = R x I2 = 8 x 2.5 = 20 V
and, current in primary coil = I1 = 10 A
In a transformer, power in primary coil and in secondary coil is equal ....
=> I1 x V1 = I2 x V2 .... where V1 = potential difference across primary coil ...
=> 10 x V1 = 2.5 x 20
=> V1 = 50/10 = 5
=> V1 = 5V .......
hence , potential difference across primary coil is 5V .....

Dhinu: you're welcome soooooooooooooooo much ! ... hehe...
