Solution!!

The area of the parallelogram is given in the question. It is also given that the base of it is twice the height of the parallelogram. We have to find the length of the base

Area = 512 cm²

Let the height be x.

Base = 2x

We can use the area formula of the parallelogram to find the height and eventually, the base.

Area = Base × Height

512 cm² = 2x × x

512 cm² = 2x²

512 cm² ÷ 2 = x²

x² = 256 cm²

x = √256 cm²

x = 16 cm

Height of the parallelogram = 16 cm

Base of the parallelogram = 2 × 16 cm

Length of the base = 32 cm

(b) 32 cm ✔️
