m = 1 kg

There isn’t enough information in the question to solve the problem.

Air drag is proportional to velocity of the air relative to the object, the size and shape of the object, and the density of the air. So, air drag of 9.8N could be acting at any point in the ball’s fall toward the earth.

However, if it is known that the object has reached terminal velocity (constant velocity), then the object weighs 9.8 N. We can say this because when an object reaches terminal velocity the air drag acting on it is equal to it’s weight. The object then falls at a constant speed until it hits the ground.
