So we can write that, y = x^(y/x)

And substituting the value to

( { \frac{x}{y} )}^{ \frac{x}{y} }  

We get ,

{ X / X^(y/x) }^(x/y)

= {X^(x/y)}/X^1

= X^{(x/y)-1}
