D is in group 17

electronic configuration

A - 2,8,1

B - 2,8,3

C - 2,8,5

D - 2,8,7

Answer: The elements and their group numbers are:-

A-11

B-13

C-15

D-17

The molecular formula of compound of B and D is BD3

The electronic configuration of B and D respectively may be 2,3 & 2,7 OR 2,8,3 & 2,8,7

Step-by-step explanation: The group number of an element is equal to sum of its valence electrons and the number 10

For eg , group no of Na is 11 and its valence elections are 1 ,11=(10)+1 !
