It seems that there is something wrong in the question .

x=\frac{5-\sqrt{3}}{5+\sqrt{3}}\\\\y=\frac{5+\sqrt{3}}{5-\sqrt{3}}\\\\x-y=\frac{5-\sqrt{3}}{5+\sqrt{3}}-\frac{5+\sqrt{3}}{5-\sqrt{3}}\\\\\implies \frac{(5-\sqrt{3})^2-(5+\sqrt{3})^2}{5^2-(\sqrt{3})^2}\\\\\implies \frac{25+3-25-3-10\sqrt{3}-10\sqrt{3}}{25-3}

\implies \frac{-20\sqrt{3}}{22}\\\\\implies -\frac{10\sqrt{3}}{11}

Hence proved !
