In Xylem tissue, vessels and trachcids of the roots, stem and leaves are inter connected to

food manufactured by the leaves of the plants is transported to its other parts through

i) the ascent of sap in the xylem tissue is the upward movement of water and minerals from roots to shoot.

ii) The transport of food from the leaves to diff. plant parts is called translocation.

iii)The evaporation of watee from the leaves of plants which causes a kind of suction is called transpiration pull.

iv) the root hairs absorbs the water from soil.
