An isosceles right triangle means
perpendicular side = base side = x
area of right triangle = (½)*base*perpendicular= 200
putting in formula,
½* x*x = (½)x² = 200
x² = 400
x=✓400
x= 20cm
perpendicular=base=20cm
now by applying Pythagoras theorem,
(hypotenuse)² = (base)² + (perpendicular)²
putting values in formula we get,
(h)²= (20)²+(20)²
(h)² = 400+400
h²= 800
h=✓800
h= 20✓2cm
hypotenuse=20✓2cm
hope this helps you
