Answer:

Given- Mass of the body = m

velocity = 4m/s

Kinetic Energy= 16J

.

Kinetic Energy = 1/2×mv²

                       16=1/2×m×4×4

                       16=m×2×4

                       16=8m

                        m=16/8

                        m=2kg

                                       so mass = 2kg.

.

i. If the velocity is doubled then 2×velocity

                                           →2×4

                                           →8m/s

The Kinetic Energy = 1/2×mv²

→1/2×2×8×8

→8×8

→64J

.

ii. If the velocity is reduced to half then velocity/2

→4/2

→2m/s

The Kinetic Energy = 1/2×mv²

→1/2×2×2×2

→2×2

→4J
