When a iron rod is kept dipped in copper sulphate solution a brown coating of copper is formed on the surface of iron. The colour of the solution changes from blue to light green. It shows that iron is more reactive than copper it replaces copper from CuSO4. CuSO4 is blue in colour and FeSO4 is light green in colour.
