Answer:

dictionary words are arranged according to positions of their letters so here we

have letters

s,a,c,h,i,n

which in dictionary comes in order as

a,c,h,i,n,s

so in dictionary first of all , all words starting with a comes which will form by having

a in the first then c,h,i,n,s in any other so total 5! words are possible with a i.e, 120 words.

same case happens with words starting with c,h,iandn so total 5!∗5 words come before a word starting with s .

now in dictionary we require words starting with ‘s’ after that ‘a’ which is in order to dictionary after that ‘c’ then ‘h’ then ‘i’ then ’n’ so rest all words are in sequence.

so number of words before sachin is 5!∗5=600 so rank of sachin in dictionary is 601
