therefore angle EAB=angle EDC(angles opposite to equal sides are equal)

In tri.EAC and tri.ECD.....

AE=ED(GIVEN)

angleEAB=angleEDC (PROVED ABOVE)

AB=CD(GIVEN)

THEREFORE,tri.EACand tri.EDC are congruent.

EB=EC(CPCT)

In tri.EBC,

EB=EC

THEREFORE,tri.EBC is an isosceles triangle.
