Let XYP be a straight line, Q and Z be two any point out of line.

Then,

We know that,

∠XYZ+∠ZYP=1800

640+∠ZYP=1800

∠ZYP=1800−640

∠ZYP=1160

since given that  ∠XYZ=640

Since, YQ bisects ∠ZYP

∠QYP=∠ZYQ=21∠ZYP

=21×1160

=580

Hence,

∠XYQ=∠XYZ+∠ZYQ

=640+580

=1220
