x = √3

y = -1

so, u can clearly see that , this point will lie on 4th quadrant...

so,

argument =

 {tan}^{ - 1} ( \frac{ - y}{x} )

 \implies \:  {tan}^{ - 1} ( \frac{ - ( - 1)}{ \sqrt{3} })

 \implies \:  {tan}^{ - 1} ( \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} } )

it means angle is 30 °

or

  \implies\frac{ \pi}{6}
