Given :

Dimensions in the adjoining figure .

To find :

The length of the truck in the image .

Solution :

Let length of truck , length of car and length of bike be x , y and z respectively.

Then, according to figure ,

x - y + z = 12                               ......(i)

and , x + y - z =18                       ......(ii)

on adding (i) and (ii) , we get ,

     2x = 30

=>   x = 15 m

The length of the truck in the image is 15 m .
