  1. The graph explains about the amendments made to the constitution of India from 1950 to 2013.
  2. In this period, nearly 99 amendments were made.
  3. Least number of amendments i.e, only 7 were made in 1951-60.
  4. From 1961 to 1970, 15 amendments were made.
  5. The heighest number of amendments were made in 1971 - 80 and 1981 - 90 i.e, 22.
  6. The number of amendments made in 1991 - 2000 and 2001 - 2013 are 16 and 17 respectively.
  7. Amendment is necessary to Indian Constitution as and when the the society changes its attitude towards a particular thing or matter.
  8. Social changes is to be noted and for better living the necessary changes is to be implemented in Constitution.
