✪ Question :-

A circus artist is climbing a 20 m long rope, which is tightly stretched and tied from the top of a vertical pole to the ground. Find the height of the pole, if the angle made by the rope with the ground level is

30°.

✪ Given :-

• AB = Vertical pole

• AC = 20 m

• ACB = 30°

✪ To Find :-

• The height of the vertical pole.

✪ Solution :-

It's given that AB is the vertical line and AC is 20 m long rope.

⇒Sin30° = AB/AC

Sin30° is 1/2, value of AB is not given and Value of AC is 20 m

⇒1/2 = AB/20

We AB from RHS will move to LHS and 2 from LHS will move to RHS.

⇒AB = 20/2

⇒AB = 10

Therefore, the height of the vertical pole is 10 m
