11. Better to find the common denominator first - i.e. the number that can be divided by 5, 3, and 6. It’s 30.

4/5 = 24/30

2/3 = 20/30

5/6 = 25/30

Add the top numbers and you get 69.

69/3 = 23

The average is 23/30.

12. lcm of both the denominator = 21

therefore, 1st no = 12/21

2nd no= 16/21

by comparing we get: 16/21

Required Answer:-

 \large \sf{ \red{ \underline{question \: 11}}}

 \large \longmapsto \sf{ \frac{4}{5} +  \frac{2}{3}   +  \frac{5}{6}}

L.C.M of 5, 3, and 6 = 30

 \sf \longmapsto{ \frac{(6 \times 4) + (10 + 2) + (5 \times 5)}{30}}

 \large \sf{ =  \frac{24 + 20 + 25}{30}}

 \large{ \underline{ \boxed{ \pink{ \frac{69}{30}}}}} \star

Average :-

 \large \dashrightarrow \sf{ \frac{69}{30}  \div  \frac{3}{1}}

 \large \sf \dashrightarrow{ \frac{69}{30}  \times  \frac{1}{3}}

 \large \sf \dashrightarrow{ \cancel \frac{69}{90}}   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \frac{23}{30}

 \large \sf{ \underline{ \boxed{ \red{ =  \frac{23}{30}}}}} \star

 \huge \sf{ \underline{ \blue{question \: 12}}}

  \large \sf\frac{4}{ - 7}  \: or \:  \frac{ - 16}{21}

 \sf{ \red{L.C.M \: of \: 7 \: and \: 21 \: is \: 21}}

 \large \sf{ \frac{84}{21} \:  ,  \frac{112}{21}}

 \sf \pink{Hence \:  \frac{ - 16}{21}  \: is \: greater.}

Extra Knowledge :-

  • A number of the form \sf\dfrac{p}{q} is called a fraction, if p and q are natural numbers. If p and q are integers and q ≠ 0, then it is said to be a Rational number.
