Explanation:

Refractive Index,'μ' =c/v

As we know the value of 'c' is 3×10⁸m/s

v=uλ ,where 'u'=2×10¹⁴Hz and 'λ'=5000Å

'λ'=5000×10^-10m(1Å=10^-10m)

=>v=2×10¹⁴Hz×5000×10^-10m

=>v=1×10⁸m/s or 10⁸m/s

Refractive Index,μ=c/v where c=3×10⁸m/s and v=10⁸m/s

Therefore μ=3×10⁸m/s/10⁸m/s

μ=3(Refractive Index has no unit)

Hence refractive index will be 3.

From above,

'c'= speed of light

'μ'=Refractive Index

'u'=frequency

'λ'=wavelength
