Equator :-

Equator is an imaginary line running on the globe divides it into 2 equal parts. It is a very important reference point to locate places on the earth.

Frigid Zone :-

1. Area lying between the arctic circle and north pole (northern hemisphere)

2. Area lying between antarctic circle and south pole (southern hemisphere)

3. It is a very cold zone (rays are always slanting and less heat)

South Pole :-

South Pole is the South most part of the earth. It is very cold and not good for human life.

Antarctic Circle :-

Antarctic Circle (66 1/2 degree S) in the South of the equator.

Southern Hemisphere :-

When the equator halves the globe into 2 parts the southern half is called Southern Hemisphere.
