1.Petroleum refining processes are the chemical engineering processes and other facilities used in petroleum refineries (also referred to as oil refineries) to transform crude oil into useful products such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline or petrol, kerosene, jet fuel, diesel oil and fuel oils.
2.Petroleum is also known as Black Gold - because when crude oil is extracted from the land it is black in color. People call it gold because of its oils and value . It is very difficult to find.

1. Petroleum is a fossile fuel which got formed by dead reamin of sea animals. Due to the depth. the temperature and pressure raised and over the year they got converted into petroleum oil.
To obtain petrol we have to dig wells to perforate the top rocks and pump up the petrol
2. It is expensive as gold. The fact may be that even say at present as the gold price increases the petrol rate also raises. Number of product can be obtained from petroleum. The world depend on it so much so the without it the world economy will collapse, especially the transportation sector. So we it as black gold
