Viruses are tinier than bacteria. In fact, the largest virus is smaller than the smallest bacterium. All viruses have is a protein coat and a core of genetic material, either RNA or DNA. Unlike bacteria, viruses can't survive without a host.

viruses are different as they are neither living not non living. they are actually a link between living and non living organisms. bacterias have a proper cell membrane but viruses do not have a cell membrane the just have a protein covering.
