Answer
- Maps contain lots of information. Most maps will have the five following things: a Title, a Legend, a Grid, a Compass Rose to indicate direction, and a Scale.
- A sketch can be said as a rough or unfinished drawing or painting which is often used as a sample to help in making a more finished thing. A plan or can be said a design is made to made or to built something and its design is made before.
- North, south, east, and west are the only true directions. The directions on the compass that are halfway between these cardinal points are called northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest. These in-between points are called intermediate directions.
- Directions are indicated on the maps by the North-South line, with the arrow head pointing towards the North. If the north-south line with the arrow is not drawn on the map, then the top of the map is taken as the north and the bottom of the map as the south; the right is the east and the left is the west direction.
- Conventional symbols are widely accepted signs or sign systems which signify an idea or concept. They represent different features on a map and are not drawn to scale. They are important because: Symbols can be used to depict features like cities, roads and railways.
