1) The two strange things that the guru and his disciple find in the kingdom of fools are: People used to work during nights and sleep during days. Cost of everything in the market was the same, one duddu, whether it was a measure of rice or a bunch of bananas.
2) The disciple decided to stay in the Kingdom of Fools because he was very happy with the fact that everything was quite cheap there. He had peculiarity of diet. He was tempted by the cheap food. So, he thought of enjoying an easy life by staying in that kingdom.
3) The owner of the house i.e. the merchant, the bricklayer, the dancing girl and the goldsmith were tried in the king's court. They all were tried because the thief died when the wall of merchant's house had collapsed
4) The real culprit according to the king is the merchant because although his old father was the real murderer he was dead and someone had to be punishment in his place. He escapes the punishment because he is too thin to be properly executed on the stake

3) first the merchant was summoned because the walls in his house were weak and they fell an the theif and he died then the bricklayer was summoned because he was the one who laid the walls he said that he was distracted by a dancer who was moving up and down with the anklets the dancer claimed that it was the goldsmith who didn't make her ornaments just in time and she had to move up and down a dozen time then at last the merchant whose house was burgled was called again because the goldsmith claimed that the merchant's father persuaded him to make his ornaments first. so about time when the merchant was being hanged the king realised that the trap was too big for him so they searched for someone who was fat enough for the trap so in search they found the disciple.
4)the real culprit was the merchants father. he escaped the punishment because he was not fat enough
