Aristotle classified organisms on the basis of mainly two categories plants and animals he did not give any proper classification in animals and plants this classification was incomplete as it did not mentioned the species inside plants and animals and that is why it was not considered as standard form of classification

the basis of classification done by Aristotle was vertebrates/animals with red blood and invertebrates/ animals without red blood. The reason why it was not considered a standard form of classification was because there wasn't  a complete classification .
