answer the following how will you justify that ice water and steam are not different substances but different states of same substance

We can justify that ice , water and steam are not different substances but different states of the same substance as ice ,water and steam all the three have same chemical properties while their physical properties are different, that is why we also say that interchange of the states of water is a physical change because when this occurs their is no change in their chemical nature as their is no evolution of gas or any colour change , neither a new substance is formed neither the heat is produced only their state changes which is a physical change. Hence justified.
