More Information
Some more information related to respiration and guard cells :-
- Respiration are of two types :-
- Aerobic respiration
- Anaerobic respiration
- In respiration, energy is released and stored in the form ATP.
- The inner walls of the guard cells are thicker than the outer walls. When, they swell and bulge outwards and the stomata opens whereas when the guard cells lose water they lose their turgidity and the stomata closes.
- ATP = Adenosine Triphosphate.
