We need standard units for measurement because units such as outstretched palms, cubits, foot lengths and yard lengths vary from person to person. A unit which is acceptable to majority if people as a basic unit of measurement is called a standard unit. Scientists all over the world have accepted a basic set of units for measuring basic quantities that is for the measurement of mass, length, time and temperature, etc.

Answer:

BECAUSE HANDS OR FEET OF SOME PEOPLE ARE SMALLER THAN US OR SOME ARE BIGGER THAN US

- IF I COUNT A TABLE BY MY HAND AND MAYBE YOUR HAND IS MALLER THAN ME OR BIGGER THAN ME THEN YOU WILL GET DIFFERENT LENGTH AND I WLL GET DIFFERENT LENGHT

SO WE CANNOT MEASURE THE LENGTH BY HANDS OR FEET

I HOPE IT HELPS
