Answer :

We know that " Sum of mole fraction in a solution is equals to unity "

Given , A + B + C = 0.4 mole

We know A + B + C + D = 1

( A + B + D ) + C = 1

⇒ 0.4 + C = 1

⇒ C = 1 - 0.4

C = 0.6 mole

So , the mole fraction of 'C' is 0.6 mole .

Answer:

option c is correct.

Explanation:

We know that " Sum of mole fraction in a solution is equals to unity "

Given , A + B + C = 0.4 mole

We know A + B + C + D = 1

⇒ ( A + B + D ) + C = 1

⇒ 0.4 + C = 1

⇒ C = 1 - 0.4

⇒ C = 0.6 mole

So , the mole fraction of 'C' is 0.6 mole .

NOTE

what is aqueous solution??

An aqueous solution is one in which the solvent is liquid water. That is, solute (dissolved) ions and molecules are surrounded by water molecules and incorporated into the network of bonds within the water.
