HEY!!!

Manuscripts were used to as print novels before the invention and utilization of pages. These were uncertainly in demand.
but, they were very sensitive that they even get fragile and weren't easy for reading purpose,
they were resembled like our present books but were stitched at only one side as u can see in the picture
their appearance was little shabby and no one can read them at ease.
their layout was quite similar to the books printed by types of machinery 
but, both were different, as manuscripts were handwritten and the novel published in late mid 19th cent

In late 19th cent, 
there wasn't any printing press so the people would prefer hand made manuscripts to express their feelings and writing novels.

Later on In Mid 19 Cent,
Sir Johann Gutenberg invented first wooden printing press and made it perfect in the year 1955
