Take an onion peel first.
Now the real story starts: Actually the cells and organelles inside onion peel are COLOURLESS. So we usually use a stain to colour it. Like Methylene Blue (Blue colour just like an ink) or Safrarin( Dark red shade).
We used safrarin. Take out the peel of onion and stain it. After that keep it in the slide in such a way so that no bubbles are formed. Now place the slide under microscope.
And then have fun
