(a)    When Patol Babu went to Faraday House for shooting, he felt quite nervous. He asked for his lines that he was to speak in his role. He was quite shocked, disappointed and enraged to know that he had to speak only the word ‘oh’. He just wanted to get away from the place.

(b)   According to Patol Babu the people in filmdom were insensitive to real art. They could neither recognize a true artist nor appreciate him.

(c)    Patol Babu thought Chanchal Kumar had a feminine look. If he had been wearing a Bengali dhoti and Panjabi instead of a suit, and given a peacock to ride on, he would make a perfect God Kartik. Monotosh of Kanchrapara--who was better known by his nickname Chinu--had the same kind of looks. He was very good at playing female parts.

(d)   He crumpled the paper into a ball and threw it into the roadside drain.

(e)   As he stood near the paan shop, he heard people talk glowingly about the hero and the director of the film. Patol Babu felt surprised his ignorance about both of them. Since he had no interest in movies, he neither knew who Chanchal Kumar was nor who Baren Mullick was.

(f) Patol Babu practiced very hard on his one-word dialogue.  He went to a secluded corner and started enunciating the syllable in various ways. Along with that he worked out how he would react physically when the collision took place--how his features would be twisted in pain, how he would fling out his arms, how his body would crouch to express pain and surprise--all these he performed in various ways in front of a large glass window.
